ISPS Fellows 2012 Bio

8 February, 2012: The Institution for Social and Policy Studies at Yale (ISPS) is pleased to announce a new Policy Fellows Program for graduate and professional students from across the University conducting research on U.S. domestic policy. The program will provide students with a $3,000 stipend, exclusive access to research funds to support their ongoing research, as well as official affiliation with and access to study and work space at ISPS. For this inaugural fellowship year, which will run between April 2012 and April 2013, postdoctoral students are also eligible to apply.

ISPS Fellows will have the opportunity to attend weekly breakfast workshops, some featuring prominent Yale faculty and guests working on policy-relevant issues and others providing training in skills such as op-ed and policy proposal writing, media appearances, and blogging. They will also be attending a high level conference at Yale on April 30. Later in the year, these meetings will become opportunities for fellows to present their research and receive feedback from ISPS-affiliated faculty and other graduate fellows. In addition, fellows will contribute to the soon-to-launch ISPS blog, develop policy papers for the ISPS briefing series throughout the year, and have the opportunity to work on policy-relevant projects they develop in conjunction with ISPS.

To apply, please send your CV, a one-page description of the research you would be conducting as an ISPS fellow, and the name and contact information for your faculty advisor or faculty reference to isps.fellows@yale.edu no later than 9am on March 1, 2012. Fellows will be notified in March. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact isps.fellows@yale.edu.
